Service Provider Licensing

Overview

AISSA licenses its Human Involvement & Accountability Framework to independent service providers who advise businesses on technology, automation, risk, or governance.

Licensing allows service providers to reference and apply the AISSA framework in client work, while AISSA remains a neutral standards body and public reference point.

AISSA does not provide consulting services, audit businesses, or act as a commercial intermediary.

AI and automation implementation

Risk, governance, and compliance

Technology assurance and advisory services

Licensing is not intended for end-user businesses seeking verification or registry inclusion.

What a license allows

Apply the framework when assessing or advising clients on human involvement and escalation practices

Advise clients on alignment with AISSA framework definitions and terminology

Reference AISSA as an independent framework provider

Submit verification records or disclosures where applicable, in accordance with AISSA terms

Licensing enables commercial use of the framework language and structure within the service provider’s own advisory work.

Represent themselves as AISSA or act on behalf of AISSA

Modify or re-publish the AISSA framework as their own

Issue certifications, badges, or guarantees on behalf of AISSA

Represent framework alignment as regulatory approval or compliance

Misstate the scope or outcome of any assessment

All assessments remain the responsibility of the licensed service provider.

Verification and responsiblity

AISSA does not audit client businesses and does not verify service provider assessments.

Licensed service providers remain fully responsible for:

The accuracy and scope of their assessments

The representations made to their clients
